bookmark_border Reading is important!

Reading needs to take place at home every night from Monday to Friday. It would be fantastic if you could take time to read with your child every day and write a comment in their Reading Record. Let us know if you have read any other book from home with your child.

Don't forget to visit our school library!

Red and Yellow Butterflies enjoyed a morning of pizza making today

Friday, 19th May, 11:36 AM

Red and Yellow Butterflies enjoyed a morning of pizza making today. A big thank you to Chartwells who organised the morning and supplied all of the ingredients. We had a fabulous time rolling out dough and putting our favourite toppings on!

Our trip to the Rare Breeds Centre on Wednesday 24th May is looming. If you haven’t already sent in your child’s form and payment, please do so.

‘Pop in and play’ is running every Tuesday, please join us first thing to see what your child has been doing in class and to speak to the teachers.

Our topic in term 6 is ‘The Wheels on the Bus!’ and we will be thinking about all sorts of transport, old and new. If you have any books, photo’s or models of interest to do with transport; we would love to see them.

Magic and Mayhem

Thursday, 23rd February, 12:54 PM

This term our topic is called ‘Magic and Mayhem’. We have been thinking about the season of Autumn, talking about the weather, Witches (and all things magical) and celebrating Diwali.

We are reading lots of books about Witches (Room on the Broom, Winnie the Witch and Funny Bones).

Our letters and sound (phonics) sessions take place daily and are differentiated to the children’s needs.

We are learning to count accurately to 10, 20 (and beyond…) and learning to recognise and match the numerals.
