I would be grateful if you would listen to your child read each night so that they have a chance of winning a prize in our monthly Reading League Challenge and more importantly, so that they have lots of practice using their reading skills and strategies.

Don't forget to visit our school library!

In case of snow ...

Friday, 24th February, 10:21 AM

Hi everyone!

If you’re reading this it must be snowing! When you have finished sledging and your hands are numb from throwing snowballs, perhaps you would like to pick a task from this list to do as ‘snow day’ homework.

  1. Build a snowman/ woman.
  1. Write some instructions about how to build a snowman/ woman
  1. Get someone to take a photograph of you making a Snow Angel.
  1. Write a story about your snowman/ woman. Remember to use paragraphs.
  1. Can you melt snow in your hand? How can you melt snow? Can you draw and write down your ideas and explain which worked the best?
  1. Make a collage about snow day
  1. Count in 3’s, 4’s and 8’s. Can you count in 6’s?
  1. Make a paper snowflake

I look forward to seeing your homework.
