Caterpillars Nursery

Our purpose built nursery is open  Monday to Friday term time only from 9:00am until 3:30pm. We can offer an 8:30am start subject to availability. 
 
We offer the following provision: 

  • Universal Free Early Years Education Entitlement of 15 hours a week for 3 and 4 year olds. 
  • Extended 30 hour entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds (subject to eligibility) 
  • Free Early Years Education Entitlement for 2 year olds (subject to eligibility) 
  • The option to access a range of paid top-up provision 

 Our well trained, enthusiastic and experienced staff team will ensure your child has the opportunity to participate in a range of stimulating and engaging learning experiences that are planned around the children’s needs and interests. Our setting has a free-flow approach, however within that we also offer structured play activities and directed group time in which we support the children's learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

  • Promoting positive behaviour and respect and nurturing children’s social skills 

  • Ensuring a smooth transition between home and Nursery 

  • Monitoring and reviewing policies and procedures annually to ensure that they remain effective at meeting our aims 

  • Instilling a love of learning through play 

  • Creating a curriculum with a focus on high quality texts to facilitate early reading skills and a love of books and reading 

  • Recognising the crucial and important role that parents and carers play in the education of their child  

  • Celebrating all learning and successes both at Nursery and at home
