Sports Clubs

At Hollington Primary Academy we provide all of our children, both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with the opportunity to extend their physical education into a range of school sports clubs, at lunchtime and after school, some of which feed into a number of locally run competitive sports competitions.

Throughout the year we offer our children the opportunity to attend sporting activities. The clubs on offer change termly and will be publicised within the academy. These are run by both academy staff and some outside sporting companies. Please note: if a club is run by an outside sporting company there will be a nominal fee for your child to participate in this club. Some of the clubs we offer include:

  • Dance

  • Gymnastics

  • Multi sports

  • Netball

  • Cricket

  • Football

Not only do our sports clubs increase physical fitness, skill and well-being, they also develop our social skills, ability to work as a team and our self-esteem. Ultimately, our clubs are FUN! For more information on sports clubs, please contact the academy office.

Due to the current pandemic, the academy currently does not offer any after school clubs. Here is an example of some of the clubs we offer on a weekly basis. This timetable will be updated termly.

Competitive Sport

At Hollington Primary Academy we provide our children with the opportunity to extend their physical education into a range of after school sports clubs, as well as participating in a large number of locally run competitive sports competitions. Historically we have taken teams of children to participate in: tag rugby, netball, quick-stick hockey, quad-kid athletics, time to dance and gymnastic competitions but to name a few! We recognise the power competitive sport can have on children’s confidence and well-being and strive to provide our children with a wide range of sporting opportunities. We want our children to have the opportunities to discover new interests and talents, while broadening their horizons and developing their cultural capital.
